Marketplace Conduct

When listing, buying, or selling registration plates through PlateSeller, you agree that you will not:

  • attempt to complete transactions outside of the PlateSeller platform in order to avoid platform fees
  • attempt to contact users directly for the purpose of completing transactions outside the platform
  • manipulate listings, pricing, or valuations in a deceptive manner
  • engage in any activity that could mislead or deceive other users

5. Competitions

When entering competitions on the PlateSeller platform you must not:

  • attempt to manipulate the entry system
  • use automated systems, scripts, or bots to submit entries
  • attempt to bypass entry limits or eligibility requirements
  • submit false or misleading information when entering competitions
  • create multiple accounts in order to circumvent entry limits or platform rules

PlateSeller reserves the right to investigate suspicious activity and cancel entries or accounts where abuse is suspected.

6. Website Security

You must not attempt to:

  • gain unauthorised access to the Website, server, database, or any connected systems
  • introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Website or its infrastructure
  • perform denial-of-service attacks or other disruptive activities

7. Automated Access and Scraping

You must not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or similar technologies to access, copy, monitor, or extract data from the Website without our prior written consent.

This includes copying listings, valuation data, or other platform content for use on competing services.

8. Payment Abuse

Users must not attempt to abuse the payment system, including initiating fraudulent chargebacks or using stolen payment details.

  • cancelling transactions or competition entries
  • restricting access to the Website
  • reporting suspected illegal activity to relevant authorities

These actions may be taken where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security, or reputation of the PlateSeller platform.

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on the Website.

11. User Consent

Any content submitted to the platform (including listings, descriptions, comments, or messages) must be accurate, lawful, and must not contain offensive, defamatory, misleading, or unlawful material.
